Following the final New Jersey gubernatorial debate, DGA political director Jordy Zeigler released the following statement on Jack Ciattarelli’s dangerous and expensive agenda, outlining how he is only out for Donald Trump, not for New Jersey.

“Tonight on the debate stage, Mikie Sherrill showcased exactly how she plans to fight for New Jerseyans by working to lower costs, create jobs, tackle utility bills, and grow the economy, while repeatedly committing to stand up for New Jersey and put hardworking families first.

“If there is one takeaway from tonight’s debate, it’s that Jack Ciattarelli is only interested in following orders from Donald Trump. With every answer, he once again refused to disagree with the President — who he gave an ‘A’ grade for his destructive second term — and once again reiterated an extreme agenda that will raise taxes, sell out hardworking families, and make New Jersey more expensive. Ciattarelli shockingly failed to explain why he voted to put New Jersey children at risk by protecting the parental rights of rapists, while simultaneously defending his career perpetuating the opioid crisis in New Jersey. As Ciattarelli continued to cheer on Republicans’ disastrous budget bill that is driving up costs, gutting health care coverage, and causing energy bills to skyrocket, Mikie once again demonstrated why she has the momentum in this race, as her campaign resonates with more and more New Jerseyans eager to make Ciattarelli a three-time loser this November.”
