As Former Gov. Ducey Speaks Out and Arizona Businesses Suffer, Biggs and Taylor Robson Remain Silent on Cost of Trump’s Tariffs

While former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey recently stated the obvious — that President Donald Trump’s tariffs “aren’t helping [the] US economy” according to the Arizona Republic— and “gently urged” him to do more to stop the uncertainty for businesses and working families, the state’s current crop of GOP gubernatorial candidates are nowhere to be found.

Both Karrin Taylor Robson and Rep. Andy Biggs have wholeheartedly embraced Trump, declining to join fellow Republican Ducey in speaking out for the local businesses who are warning of mounting harm and uncertainty due to Trump’s economic agenda.

Arizona businesses are already feeling the pain of surging costs, warning that they “can’t absorb large increases,” and that this economic crunch could “break small businesses in just 30 days.

“Donald Trump’s reckless handling of the economy is hurting working families in Arizona, raising prices on everyday goods, and punishing businesses so badly that even Republicans like Doug Ducey are sounding the alarm,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “Meanwhile, Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs’ willingness to throw working families and businesses under the bus is just more proof that Arizonans can’t afford either of them as governor.”
