Advisory: GOP Governors to Speak At QPAC This Week
This year’s CQPAC will repeat, ad nauseum, the dangerous conspiracy theory that spurred violent riots on January 6th – and GOP governors and candidates are planning to attend anyways.
Republicans, led by their party leader Donald Trump, brazenly lied to their constituents without any evidence. The courts resoundingly rejected their claims, and Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security declared this election “the most secure in American history.”
Even Republican governors, who certified the election results, participated in the lunacy. Now, those same governors will attend a conference consciously stoking the flames of this dangerous lie.
Ironically, QPAC is holding “protecting elections” panels, which they define as new laws to strip voters of their rights at the state level.
Among the panels at QPAC this year continuing to push dangerous conspiracies about the election:
- The Left Pulled the Strings, Covered It Up, and Even Admits It
- Failed States (PA, GA, NV, oh my!)
- They Told Ya So: The Signs Were Always There
- Other Culprits: Why Judges & Media Refused to Look at the Evidence
Republican governors Ron DeSantis and Kristi Noem will be speaking at the conspiracy theory-themed event, as well as gubernatorial candidate Sarah Huckabee Sanders and failed candidate Adam Laxalt.
”These QPAC panels are designed to continue pushing dangerous and false conspiracy theories, and anyone who participates in the conference is complicit in these baseless attacks on our democracy,” said Communications Director David Turner. “It’s clear Trump still has a hold over gutless Republicans who refuse to denounce his dangerous lies. Every Republican who attends QPAC must be asked one simple question: Do you acknowledge Joe Biden as a legitimate president?”
