Trouble In Paradise: “Bad Blood” Between Trump And DeSantis Showcases Chaotic And Unprepared Republican Party

“…there’s only so much disloyalty Trump can take…” 

After Donald Trump pulled Gov. Ron DeSantis over the finish line in 2018, the once-desperate candidate has failed to “repay the political debt,” POLITICO reported today. It’s gotten to the point where one Florida Republican said “…there’s only so much disloyalty Trump can take from someone who owes his entire political career to him.” Sad!

In February, DeSantis skipped out on attending Trump’s address at billionaire Nelson Peltz’ Palm Beach home prompting a “Republican consultant familiar with the president’s campaign operation” to complain that DeSantis “comes around to Trump only when he needs something.” 
The Trump campaign is likely pulling their hair out over the lackluster organizational power of the state GOP relative to Democratic organizing in the state. At the Florida GOP’s annual statesman’s dinner, almost $3.5 million was raised and “DeSantis has been accused of sitting on the money instead of releasing for 2020 party-building.” 
“As Election Day looms, Ron DeSantis, once Trump’s hand-picked ally, has turned on him,” said DGA National Press Secretary Jerusalem Demsas. “The President’s chances have declined so thoroughly in the Sunshine State that the Republican governor couldn’t be bothered to show up to his fundraiser. Sad!”
