Statement from DGA Chair O’Malley on MT Primary Results

Washington, DC – Governor Martin O’Malley, chair of the Democratic Governors Association, released the following statement tonight on the results of the Montana primary:

“I congratulate Steve Bullock on his primary victory tonight. As Attorney General, Steve has a tremendous record standing up forMontana families and protectingMontana taxpayers.

“The contrast with Rick Hill couldn’t be clearer, and Hill’s priorities are totally out of touch with Montana – lobbying to defend special interests over the sick and billionaires over the middle class. Congressman Hill voted against raising the minimum wage, while voting to cut Medicare and privatize Social Security.

“Montana families have a clear choice in electing their next governor, and the DGA is fully committed to ensuring Democrats hold this important seat.”
