Chip in today to elect Dem govs across the country >>
Democratic governors are leading the fight against Donald Trump and his administration – and they need your help. Trump and his allies have hundreds of millions of dollars to attack our candidates, and we have to make sure we’ve got the resources to fight back. With 36 races on the map this November, 80% of Americans will cast their vote for their next governor. We need to invest NOW to expand our map, win in battleground states, protect our blue firewall of Dem govs, and flip critical states from red to blue. Can Dem govs count on you to chip in right now?
Month 4: Rauner Still No Closer to Getting Ives’ Endorsement

We’re four months out from the primary, and Governor Bruce Rauner’s problematic relationship with state Representative Jeanne Ives shows no signs of resolution. She received a standing ovation from a conservative Effingham County crowd while campaigning for legislative candidates (and not Rauner), and one of her biggest supporters is predicting defeat for Rauner if he doesn’t “reach out to the conservative base.”
Rauner was recently asked “how important” an Ives endorsement would be. Well, yesterday one national analyst rated the race as “Likely Democratic” due in part to Rauner’s inability to patch things up with Republican voters, allowing for the emergence of Republican state Senator Sam McCann to mount a third-party bid.
“Bruce Rauner has failed the people of Illinois for nearly four years, so it’s no surprise that four months later, he still can’t get Jeanne Ives or her supporters behind him,” said DGA Illinois Communications Director Sam Salustro. “How does Rauner expect to win without 48% of the Republican vote?”
