WASHINGTON, DC—Governor Peter Shumlin, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, today issued the following statement regarding Senator Wendy Davis’ campaign for governor of Texas:
 
“Wendy Davis is a proven fighter for middle-class families across Texas. For her entire career, she’s focused on creating good jobs, building world-class schools, keeping streets safe, and honoring the service of our veterans. Greg Abbott has chosen a different course –  he’s used his office to pursue a divisive, partisan agenda while rewarding political insiders and special interests at the expense of working people. Texans deserve better, and they’ll get it when they elect Wendy Davis their next governor.”
