Democratic Governors Association Chair New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement on President Joe Biden’s inauguration:


“Congratulations to President Joe Biden on his inauguration. President Biden will bring dignity, humility, and science-driven leadership back to the White House at a time when our country desperately needs it.


“We look forward to working with President Biden to build back better beginning on day one. Together, we will work to reverse the harmful policies of the previous administration, make progress on access to affordable health care and public education, rebuild a strong, inclusive middle class, and create an economy for the future. The Biden administration will take decisive public health and economic steps to get the virus under control, deliver immediate relief to working families, and reopen our schools and businesses safely.


“Democratic governors look forward to having a partner in the White House again. We are excited to work with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to unite the country and build a future that is brighter for all.”
