DGA Chair New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement regarding DGA Vice Chair Gov. Roy Cooper’s Inauguration in North Carolina:


“Congratulations to Gov. Roy Cooper on his inauguration. Gov. Cooper has fought tirelessly for a stronger, safer North Carolina and has been a steadfast leader during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his first term, Gov. Cooper made workforce development a key priority and oversaw the creation of tens of thousands of jobs across the state. Gov. Cooper also courageously fought for Medicaid expansion and teacher pay raises.


“North Carolinians rewarded Gov. Cooper with a second term because of his commitment to protecting the lives and livelihoods of North Carolinians. I look forward to continuing to serve with Gov. Cooper and seeing all he will accomplish for the people of North Carolina.”
