An update on the race: We have been listening to Ohio voters. And they back Amy Acton when they learn the following:

1. Amy Acton understands the struggles that Ohio’s working families are facing and will fight for them as Governor. Growing up poor in Youngstown where she didn’t always know where her next meal would come from, she understands first-hand what it is like to struggle to make ends meet. She will fight for working people to bring down high costs, will stand up to corrupt politicians who are looking out for their own bottom line, and work across the aisle to deliver real results.
2. Vivek Ramaswamy is out for himself and is hurting Ohio families in order to make more money for himself. As a corrupt big pharma CEO, Ramaswamy made hundreds of millions scamming patients, promoting treatments he admitted didn’t work and jacking up the price of medicines — preying on seniors and families with kids battling rare diseases.

Amy is for Ohio: 

• Amy Acton grew up poor in Youngstown and is the granddaughter of a steelworker. She didn’t always know where her next meal would come from or if the bills would be paid, so she understands what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet. But that upbringing made Acton tough and determined. She put herself through college and medical school, becoming a doctor by working as a waitress and delivering newspapers.
• As a doctor, Acton dedicated her life to serving people. Then Governor DeWine appointed her to serve as the Director of the Ohio Department of Health, where she worked with Republicans to hold the big drug companies accountable.
• Acton isn’t a politician. She is running for Governor because she knows what it’s like to work harder and still fall behind, while the wealthy special interests and politicians are doing better than ever. She’ll lower costs by cutting taxes and root out corruption in government.

Ramaswamy is out for himself: 

• As a corrupt big pharma CEO, Ramaswamy made hundreds of millions scamming patients, promoting treatments he knew didn’t work and jacking up the price of medicines.
  • Ramaswamy made $175 million from companies that pushed an Alzheimer’s treatment that he knew did not work, targeting seniors and those who were desperate for treatment.
  • Ramaswamy jacked up the price of life-saving medicines people need to live. He said he was “proud” of a product that cost patients nearly $3 million for a single drug to treat a rare childhood disease — making Ramaswamy $260 million.
  • Ramaswamy didn’t care if the treatments his business promoted worked, as long as he made a profit. He admitted investing in a “toxic” company with a “garbage” drug because “we are making money, that is what’s most important.”
