Winsome Sears Backs Trump’s Dangerous Plans to Gut Virginians’ Jobs
Over the weekend, Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears “backed Trump’s effort” to slash federal funding, despite those efforts threatening to gut thousands of jobs for Virginians.
In an interview, Sears defended Trump’s dangerous agenda, claiming that “The president was elected fully explaining what he was going to do,” and that “he didn’t hide anything from anyone.”
“Winsome Sears has made it clear that she cares more about proving her loyalty to Donald Trump and his dangerous extremism than doing what’s right for Virginians and their families,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “Virginians deserve a governor who will always work to protect their jobs and their families, and Winsome Sears has proven she cannot be trusted to fight for Virginia.”
