Will John James Sign the Discharge Petition to Release the Epstein Files?
Last night, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie filed a bipartisan petition to trigger a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives to release the Epstein files.
Will John James stand with the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, sign onto the bipartisan petition, and finally release the Epstein files?
James remains conspicuously silent on the issue, refusing to sign onto the petition because of what it might mean for his relationship with Donald Trump, who has already publicly questioned his campaign for governor.
James’ silence on the Epstein files speaks volumes on the lengths he’s willing to go to put loyalty to his own party first. Already, James has done Trump’s bidding by ripping away health care from more than 400,000 Michiganders, cutting SNAP from more than 300,000 people who need it most, raising utility and housing costs, putting manufacturing jobs at risk, and endangering rural hospitals across the state – all to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
“Will John James grow a spine, stand with the victims of sexual abuse and trafficking, and push to release the Epstein files? Or will he continue to put loyalty to his own extreme partisan agenda over the best interests of Michiganders?” said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton.
