WATCH: John James Gets Booed by Republicans at Michigan GOP Convention

At the Michigan GOP convention over the weekend, John James was met with disapproving boos from fellow Republicans as his floundering campaign continues to dodge debates and face criticism for hiding.

Polls show the race between the rest of the GOP field tightening as Perry Johnson, Mike Cox, Aric Nesbitt, and Tom Leonard vie for Trump’s endorsement and trip over themselves in a chaotic competition to be the loudest cheerleader for his agenda. Every single Republican in the race supports Trump’s agenda that is crushing Michigan by cutting health care and jacking up costs on everything.

A recent op-ed from a GOP strategist blasted this total mess of a Republican primary saying, “the gubernatorial campaigns remain lackluster,” with candidates embracing extreme positions in their race to the right.

“John James getting booed after dodging debates and the latest tightening poll numbers are the newest signs that this primary remains wide-open and getting nastier,” said DGA  Communications Director Sam Newton. “No matter who claws their way to the top, every Republican is aligned behind Trump’s agenda that is harming Michiganders and driving up costs.”
