TOMORROW: Colorado Gov. Elect To Be Sworn In
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8th, Governor-elect Jared Polis will be sworn in as the 43rd Governor of Colorado.
Polis won a commanding victory in November, with the most votes ever for a gubernatorial candidate in state history. He will become the first openly gay man inaugurated as governor in American history.
Polis takes over from Governor John Hickenlooper, who oversaw a significant economic turnaround for the state. Under Governor Hickenlooper’s leadership, Colorado has become one of the leading economies in the country, adding more than 500,000 jobs over eight years.
