“The Trump of Trenton”: DGA-Backed Group Launches New Ad in New Jersey
Ciattarelli: “I support the president wholeheartedly, and my job is to help him.”
Ciattarelli: “A 10% sales tax on everything. Including food and clothing.”
Today, Greater Garden State, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, launched a new ad in New Jersey highlighting how GOP candidate Jack Ciattarelli has put his loyalty to Donald Trump ahead of making life better for New Jersey families. As the ad shows, Ciattarelli — who Trump has praised as “100%” MAGA — “supports the president wholeheartedly,” and even said his “job is to help [Trump].” Ciattarelli has repeatedly refused to name a single issue where he and the president disagree, and even promises that he is “not going to be different” from Trump.
Ciattarelli has repeatedly touted that his loyalties lie first and foremost with Trump. He supports Trump’s deeply unpopular budget that guts Medicaid, rips away food benefits from New Jersey kids, kills jobs, forces hospitals to close, and drives energy costs higher. In addition to backing Trump’s costly and chaotic agenda, the ad also highlights how Ciattarelli wants to drive costs even higher by raising taxes on hardworking New Jersey families.
This ad is the first of a $20 million reservation in TV, digital, and streaming ads to run across New Jersey ahead of this year’s gubernatorial election.
You can watch the ad here and read the transcript below.
