Stacy Garrity Kicks Off 2026 By Reminding Pennsylvanians That She Will Always Put Donald Trump First

Garrity also reminded Commonwealth families her extreme stance on abortion “has never changed”

Yesterday at a Pennsylvania Press Club luncheon, Stacy Garrity took a page from Republicans’ losing campaign playbook by making it clear that there is not a single issue in which she disagrees with Donald Trump — even when it hurts Pennsylvanians. In committing to put loyalty to the president over Pennsylvania families, Garrity said she would be “honored” to have Trump’s endorsement.

At the luncheon, Garrity squarely opposed Governor Shapiro’s lawsuit to take on the Trump administration and restore $13 million in funding for Pennsylvania farmers, instead making it clear she would rather Pennsylvania kids and families go hungry than challenge Trump’s harmful policies. This comes after she championed Trump’s disastrous budget bill as a “huge win,” despite the law stripping away health care and food assistance, killing jobs, and raising everyday costs and energy prices for families across the Commonwealth.

She also shared that, after trying to overturn the will of Pennsylvania voters, she found it “fun” to peddle debunked lies that the 2020 election was stolen.

In her remarks, Garrity also recommitted to her extreme support for restricting reproductive freedom, in case there were any chance she’d changed her position after celebrating Pennsylvanians losing their freedom to choose, and selling anti-abortion merchandise on her campaign website.

“Stacy Garrity is running to bring Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda to Pennsylvania — even when it means working directly against the needs of Pennsylvanians,” said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. “Garrity has made it clear that in her eyes Donald Trump can do no wrong – even as he strips away health care and guts funding to support farmers and feed hungry kids, kills jobs and drives up energy costs, takes aim at the rule of law, and rips away fundamental freedoms. Pennsylvania families deserve a governor that will fight for them, not an extremist dead-set on replicating Washington Republicans’ cruel and chaotic agenda in the Keystone State.”
