“Perennial Candidates, Losers, and RINOs”: The Gloves Are Off In New Jersey’s GOP Primary

A super PAC supporting radio host and New Jersey GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea came out swinging in a new digital ad taking aim at fellow Republican Jack Ciattarelli. In the new ad, Spadea goes after Ciattarelli and his unsuccessful bids for governor in both 2017 and 2021, with a call to “stop the perennial candidates, the losers, and the RINOs.”

The super PAC’s new ad comes after Jack Ciattarelli’s campaign launched a new website slamming Spadea for being “phony MAGA,” calling him a “failed” TV host, highlighting his losing campaign record, and accusing him of not being loyal enough to Donald Trump.

“With nearly six months left until the primary, New Jersey’s Republican candidates for governor aren’t wasting time on the low blows or personal attacks,” said DGA States Press Secretary Emma O’Brien. “Instead of focusing on New Jersey families and the challenges they’re facing, Spadea and Ciattarelli are locked in a fight to see who’s the most MAGA and who can land the nastiest hit — ensuring that whoever is left standing as the Republican nominee will come out of the primary battered, bruised, and undeniably extreme. For these reasons and more, we agree with both Jack Ciattarelli and Bill Spadea: neither candidate is fit to be New Jersey’s next governor.”
