Mark Robinson Kicks Off General Election by Picking a Fight with U.S. Senator Thom Tillis

“I’m not interested in anything that Thom Tillis has to say, as far as I’m concerned”

After being snubbed by U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis in North Carolina’s gubernatorial primary, Mark Robinson is lashing out at the state’s senior senator as he kicks off the general election, claiming that he isn’t “interested in anything that Thom Tillis has to say,” and that Tillis “abandoned the base of our party.”

During the primary election, Sen. Thom Tillis refused to endorse Mark Robinson, instead choosing to endorse his opponent Bill Graham, citing a “stark contrast in capabilities,” and bashing Robinson for having “virtually no legislative experience, very little business experience.”

“In addition to spreading chaos and conspiracy theories, Mark Robinson would rather pick petty political fights with those in his own party, than fight for the things North Carolinians care about most. As Robinson continues to be dead set on pushing his dangerous and fringe plans, there’s no doubt the internal GOP fighting in North Carolina will only get worse,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “North Carolinians deserve a governor like Attorney General Josh Stein who has proven that he isn’t interested in sowing chaos and division, and is more focused on bringing people together and fighting for the issues they care about most.”
