Tonight, Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, issued the following statement regarding Gov. Kate Brown’s victory in Oregon:
“Congratulations to Governor Kate Brown on her victory in Oregon,” said Gov. Malloy. “This election shows that Oregon voters endorse Governor Brown’s leadership and want her to continue moving Oregon forward.
“Governor Brown has been a leader focused on getting results. She hit the ground running in 2015 and has passed groundbreaking laws to raise the minimum wage, provide paid sick leave and automatically register voters. We congratulate Governor Brown on her resounding election and look forward to her continued work on behalf of Oregon’s families.”
