Karrin Taylor Robson Drops Lobbyist Registration as GOP Opposition Mounts

Latest News

New reporting from the Arizona Republic reveals that Karrin Taylor Robson quietly unregistered as a lobbyist after a supporter of her primary opponent, Rep. Andy Biggs, introduced legislation that could render her ineligible to serve as governor.

It’s the latest development in an increasingly contentious Republican primary, where a growing number of voices on the right are publicly opposing Taylor Robson’s weak candidacy. Even President Donald Trump is keeping her candidacy at arm’s length, declining to make an appearance at an event she held at Mar-a-Lago last weekend after he met with Rep. Biggs earlier this month.

Taylor Robson dropping her lobbyist registration is the latest example of her saying or doing anything to try to win an election. After losing her last campaign for governor, she has reemerged more extreme than ever, and has refused to say a word in support of the Arizona businesses that are feeling the pain from President Trump’s chaotic and unpredictable tariff announcements.

“As Republicans ratchet up their attacks on Karrin Taylor Robson, her actions are a reminder of her weakness in an increasingly nasty GOP primary,” said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz. “There’s nothing Taylor Robson won’t say or do if she thinks it will help her political ambitions.”
