Jack Ciattarelli Stands With Trump and Musk Over New Jersey Kids and Farmers
Republican candidate for governor Jack Ciattarelli supports Trump’s and Musk’s slash-all approach, even as it hurts kids and farmers.
A new report from NJ Spotlight News found that Trump’s cuts to the USDA will hurt New Jersey farmers and kids the most, including “the elimination of two food purchasing programs, both of which help New Jersey farmers provide fresh food to schools and food pantries.” These programs help “get fresh food to school cafeterias for kids who depend on those meals daily and helps farmers afford to sell that food via the programs.” NJ Spotlight News reports that the programs have been “a boon to the state’s farming industry.”
Ciattarelli’s loyalty to Trump continues to come at a cost for New Jersey families. Just last week in an appearance on Fox & Friends, Ciattarelli reaffirmed his support for Trump’s and Musk’s plan to dismantle the Department of Education. Ciattarelli also supports Trump and Musk’s plan to dismantle Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare, calling it the “grand experiment,” and has previously promised to bring the chaos and dysfunction of Musk’s DOGE program in D.C. to New Jersey, claiming “any and all departments and potential cuts are on the table,” even a “reduce[d] workforce.”
“Add hungry kids and farmers to the ever-growing list of New Jerseyans that can’t rely on Jack Ciattarelli,” said DGA Campaign Communications Advisor Emma O’Brien. “They join the working families, students, teachers, parents, and Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare recipients who are learning the hard way that the only support Jack Ciattarelli is after is Donald Trump’s. While Jack Ciattarelli fights for Trump’s endorsement above all else, he’s leaving behind New Jerseyans who are looking for a leader that will make their lives better, not harder.”
