DGA Statement On The Trump Administration’s Decision Against Holding A Special ACA Enrollment Period
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on the Trump administration’s decision against holding a special enrollment period during the COVID-19 pandemic:
“Even in the midst of a pandemic, the Trump administration continues to attack the Affordable Care Act. Democratic governors are on the front lines of the crisis. Access to affordable health care is critically important, especially to the millions of Americans who are uninsured or who have lost their jobs.
“As the president has said, we are at war with this disease. It’s time we use every weapon in our arsenal to defeat it. The president should follow the lead of Democratic governors and open a special enrollment period on the federal marketplace.”
