Today, 2023 DGA Chair and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey’s inauguration:
“Congratulations to Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey on her inauguration today and for making history as both the first woman elected governor of Massachusetts and one of two women serving as the nation’s first openly lesbian governors in American history.
“As attorney general, Gov. Healey proved her commitment to public service by standing up to powerful special interests on behalf of Massachusetts families. She’s ready to get to work addressing key challenges in housing, transportation, and health care to improve people’s lives in every corner of the Commonwealth.
