DGA Statement on the Passing of Bill Richardson
Democratic Governors Association Chair Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on the passing of former DGA Chair New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson:
“Tammy and I are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Gov. Bill Richardson. Bill was a relentless champion for the people of New Mexico, who laid the foundation to grow the state’s diverse economy and create more opportunity for families, and a great advocate for Americans and our values on the world stage. Bill’s impact was also felt during his time as DGA Chair during the historic 2006 election cycle when Democrats saw a net gain of six governorships. We will forever be grateful for his leadership. Our prayers are with his family and friends.”
