DGA Statement on Scott Wagner’s Nomination in Pennsylvania
Today, DGA Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson released the following statement on Republican Scott Wagner’s nomination in Pennsylvania:
“Scott Wagner is limping out of one of the ugliest elections in the state’s history,” said Pearson. “Over the last few months, Scott Wagner has shown he is Pennsylvania’s very own Donald Trump. He is an extreme, and often unhinged, candidate that is outside the mainstream on many issues. Wagner has attacked a woman’s right to choose, vowed to weaken protections for working Pennsylvanians, and promised to take resources away from public schools. Wagner represents the worst of the Harrisburg political system that Governor Wolf is working so hard to fix.”
