DGA Statement on Rick Jackson Entering Georgia’s Messy Republican Primary for Governor

Today, DGA spokesperson Kevin Donohoe issued the following statement on Rick Jackson entering the Republican primary for governor of Georgia with a $50 million spending blitz:

“Rick Jackson’s entrance into this race will only supercharge what has already been a nasty, expensive Republican primary. Jackson is a MAGA acolyte who is running on unconditional support for Donald Trump’s harmful, cost-raising agenda – and he’s made clear that he’s willing to spend $50 million to tout his Trump ties. With Jackson in this race, it’s clear that this primary is going to be even uglier than anybody previously thought – and that’s saying something.”
