DGA Statement on Paul LePage Becoming the Republican Nominee for Governor of Maine
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Paul LePage securing the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Maine:
“Paul LePage was one of the most unpopular governors in Maine’s history — and now he wants to drag Maine backward yet again. As governor, LePage repeatedly blocked access to affordable health care, underinvested in public education, gutted the state’s public health system, grew Maine’s economy at one of the slowest rates in the nation, and hurt working families’ bottom lines.
“Maine people can’t afford a third term of LePage’s out-of-touch policies and divisive rhetoric. It’s time to turn the page on LePage.”
