DGA Communications Director Sam Newton issued the following statement in response to news that Lt. Governor Mark Robinson will join Donald Trump at a rally in Wilmington, NC:
“By overturning Roe v. Wade, Donald Trump paved the way for Mark Robinson to ban abortion with no exceptions – even in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother – if he wins this November.
“The stakes of this election could not be higher and we must hold them both accountable for their extreme anti-abortion agenda that endangers women and threatens to jail doctors.”
