DGA Statement on Joe Lombardo’s Doomed Bid for Reelection in Nevada

DGA spokesperson Johanna Warshaw released the following statement in response to Joe Lombardo, the most vulnerable Republican governor in the country, announcing his reelection campaign in Nevada:

“Joe Lombardo’s time in office has been a disaster for hardworking Nevadans, marked by an out-of-control housing crisis, sky-high unemployment, rising costs, and a spiraling economy — so it’s no wonder why he’s the most vulnerable Republican governor in the country this cycle.

“Lombardo will have to answer for his failed record that includes supporting tariffs that are jacking up costs and gutting Nevada’s tourism industry, blocking efforts to lower prescription drug costs and address the housing crisis, and claiming that Nevadans should be ‘excited’ about Donald Trump’s budget law that’s ripping health care away from more than 115,000 people in the state.

“Nevadans are sick and tired of Lombardo and his disastrous agenda that has left working families and small businesses behind. Lombardo enters this race on the back foot, and the DGA looks forward to making him a one-term governor.”
