DGA Statement on House Republicans Putting Critical Programs on the Chopping Block

DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement in response to Reps. Andy Biggs, Byron Donalds, John James, and Mike Lawler voting to take away health care and food assistance:

“All of the Republican members of Congress who think they can run for governor will be forced to answer for their vote to tear away health care for seniors, veterans, and children, and gut food assistance for working families. This disastrous vote is just the latest proof they can’t be trusted to put hardworking Americans first, and they will have to answer for how Trump’s chaos and destructive policies are causing big problems for the people of their states. We look forward to holding Republicans accountable for this reckless vote and ensuring that their extreme and harmful agenda continues to be a losing issue for them.”
