The following is a statement from DGA Chair Gov. Roy Cooper on Governor-Elect Tina Kotek’s win in Oregon:

“Oregonians voted on the side of progress in their election of Tina Kotek as governor. Tina has proven her commitment to solving the toughest problems throughout Oregon, and now she’s once again made history as the nation’s first lesbian governor. 

“As governor, Tina will ensure a safe, sustainable, and affordable future for Oregonians of all backgrounds.

“The DGA has been a proud supporter of Governor-Elect Kotek’s campaign and looks forward to working alongside her as she continues to tackle Oregon’s biggest challenges.”
