Tonight, Democratic Governors Association Chair Governor Jay Inslee (WA) released the following statement on New York’s Democratic Primary:
“Congratulations to Governor Andrew Cuomo for winning the Democratic nomination. Over the past eight years Governor Cuomo has been a champion for New Yorkers, expanding paid family leave and raising the minimum wage. Under his leadership, New York has passed strong gun safety legislation and supported investment in clean energy jobs.
“I’ve been proud to work with Governor Cuomo to lead the way in fighting back against President Trump’s dangerous agenda. I look forward to working with the Governor in the years to come.”
