DGA Statement on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Run for Reelection as Governor of Michigan

Today, DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper issued the following statement on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer:

“Gov. Gretchen Whitmer always puts Michigan first, working with both parties to get results that address the everyday challenges of working families. She’s secured $400 auto insurance refund checks and is fighting to repeal the retirement tax while creating more opportunities by providing tuition-free community college, fixing the roads, and making historic investments in public education — all without raising taxes. Gretchen has also led the fight to stop the state’s dangerous 1931 abortion ban.

“The DGA is proud to support Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as she runs to continue being a tough leader who is focused on delivering solutions to the biggest problems in Michigan.”
