DGA Statement on Dan Forest’s Nomination in North Carolina
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee issued the following statement regarding Lt. Gov. Dan Forest’s nomination in North Carolina:
“Dan Forest represents the worst of politics, focusing on a divisive, fanatical agenda that will cost jobs, hurt schools, and prevent North Carolinians from getting health care. As ‘chief architect’ of the job-killing HB2, he helped damage the state’s reputation and cost North Carolina billions of dollars in economic activity. As governor, instead of focusing on North Carolinians’ priorities, Forest promises to gut funding for public schools, undermine protections for pre-existing conditions, and block Medicaid expansion. We will hold Forest accountable, and re-elect Gov. Roy Cooper in November.”
