DGA Statement on Andy Beshear’s Primary Victory in Kentucky
Today, Democratic Governors Association Chair Gina Raimondo released the following statement on the results from Kentucky’s Democratic primary election for governor:
“Congratulations to Attorney General Andy Beshear for winning the Democratic nomination for governor in Kentucky. Andy has spent his career fighting for Kentucky children and families to have a real path to prosperity. As Attorney General, Andy has delivered solutions for Kentucky from tackling the opioid crisis head on to protecting access to health care for Kentuckians with pre-existing conditions. A proud product of Kentucky’s public schools, he has fought for every child to have a quality public school education. Kentucky will be a major pickup opportunity for the DGA this cycle and Andy Beshear is the right choice to win back the Bluegrass State.”
