DGA Condemns SCOTUS’ Ruling that Undermines Gun Safety Laws
DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen today:
“The Supreme Court’s decision today will put more guns on the streets and lead to violence that could be prevented through popular and commonsense gun safety legislation. Americans deserve to feel safe in their grocery stores, in their schools, and in their communities. This decision will only worsen our existing gun violence epidemic.
“Democratic governors across the country have fought and will continue to fight to end gun violence and make our communities safer.”
