DGA Chair Laura Kelly Statement on Governor Wes Moore Running for Reelection

DGA Chair Governor Laura Kelly released the following statement on Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s run for reelection:

“Governor Wes Moore has been a transformative leader for Maryland, and we’re thrilled that he is running again to continue delivering for families across the state. Governor Moore has made life better for all Marylanders by growing the state’s economy, lowering unemployment, increasing job opportunity and new business development, and making cities like Baltimore safer with historically low rates of homicides and violent crime. He is dedicated to creating a bright, fiscally responsible future for Maryland, and has already turned a structural deficit into a surplus for the state. Moreover, the Governor has invested in Maryland students and their future and has successfully improved math and reading scores while tackling the teacher vacancy rate in schools across the state.
