Today, DGA Chair Jay Inslee released the following statement regarding Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds’ singing of an extreme anti-choice bill in Iowa:
“Iowa just became the most extreme anti-choice state in the country under the leadership of a Republican governor. Governor Kim Reynolds is wasting taxpayer dollars on a social agenda that will result in expensive legal battles. Iowa voters won’t forget Gov. Reynolds’ decision to put women’s health at risk in an attempt to score political points with the far-right. This November, Iowa voters have an opportunity to send a clear message to Gov. Reynolds and the Republican legislature for pushing a far-right agenda at the expense of Iowa families.”
