DGA-Backed Group Reserves Over $20 Million in Ads in New Jersey
Greater Garden State, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, is reserving over $20 million in TV, digital, and streaming ads to run across New Jersey ahead of this year’s gubernatorial election.
The early reservations allow the DGA-backed group to lock in lower prices and reserve prime ad inventory before airwaves get crowded in the fall.
“The DGA is committed to holding New Jersey’s governorship and making sure that voters up and down the Garden State understand the stakes of this election,” said DGA Political Director Jordy Zeigler. “While Mikie Sherrill stays relentlessly focused on bringing down costs, putting more money in people’s pockets, and keeping New Jersey moving forward, Jack Ciattarelli has pledged to bring Donald Trump’s chaos and extremism to Trenton. The contrast is clear: Mikie will put New Jersey first, while Ciattarelli has no problem selling out working families to please party leaders, and we look forward to making him a three-time loser in this year’s governor’s race.”
Today’s investment comes on the heels of an election cycle in which the DGA defied the odds and the political headwinds by successfully protecting every Democratic-held governorship. As the DGA prepares for another competitive and closely-watched election cycle, Democratic governors are continuing to cement themselves as the last line of defense for Americans on issues ranging from access to health care, to economic opportunity, to protecting rights and fundamental freedoms.
