DGA Announces Key Investment in Mississippi Governor’s Race
The Democratic Governors Association is announcing a key investment of $750,000 to support Brandon Presley’s campaign for governor in Mississippi.
This investment comes as polling has shown the race is within the margin of error and incumbent Governor Tate Reeves is unpopular, with harmful positions that are deeply out-of-step with the vast majority of voters. Meanwhile, Brandon Presley continues to run a strong campaign focused on tackling corruption, expanding Medicaid, and cutting the grocery tax and car tag fees for working people.
DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper stated: “The DGA has a proven track record of winning against unpopular incumbent Republican governors in tough states like Kentucky, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. As Brandon Presley continues to run a strong campaign and Mississippi families are bearing the burden of Tate Reeves’ costly grocery tax and car tag fees, corruption, and hospital closure crisis, we know there’s a real chance in Mississippi this year to once again defy the odds.”
