Arizona Republicans Diss Karrin Taylor Robson After Trump’s “Death Knell” Dual Endorsement

“‘If I’m Karrin Taylor Robson, I’m upset.’”

Arizona Republicans were quick to call out how Donald Trump dealt a huge blow to Karrin Taylor Robson’s rapidly sinking and pathetic campaign by issuing a dual endorsement of both her and Andy Biggs.

After the endorsement, Biggs didn’t miss the opportunity to brag about his “strong” relationship with Trump, saying: “We talk regularly … I’m probably the only candidate from either side of the aisle that is gonna have President Trump’s personal cell phone and can reach out to him.”

As Biggs touts his Trump ties, new polling shows lackluster support for Taylor Robson, with Biggs leading her by 29 points.

While Biggs and Taylor Robson fight over who is closer to Trump, the reality is they both support his harmful agenda that is jacking up costs for Arizonans and threatening to rip health care away.

Don’t take our word for it – here’s what Arizonans are saying about how Trump’s disastrous dual endorsement is dooming Taylor Robson’s bid for governor:

Conservative radio host Mike Broomhead: “If I’m Karrin Taylor Robson, I’m upset.”

Arizona Republican National Committeeman Jake Hoffman to the Arizona Globe: “‘President Trump’s endorsement of Andy Biggs to be Arizona’s next governor is a death knell for Karrin. It’s over, she’s done. Arizona Republicans can now unite for 2026 and focus on rebuilding our state from the disastrous tenure of Katie Hobbs.’”

Biggs consultant Sean Noble to the Associated Press: “Sean Noble, general consultant with Biggs’ campaign, said the campaign is ‘thrilled’ for the endorsement but also expected it to be for both candidates given Trump’s earlier support of Robson. ‘Given that Robson had leaned so heavily on the endorsement as her very premise for being in the race, it does call into question whether she should stay in the race,’ he said.”

Conservative radio host Barry Markson: “Trump throwing Karrin Taylor Robson under the bus by also endorsing Andy Biggs.”

Turning Point Chase The Vote Director Lacey Nagao: affirmed that Trump’s dual endorsement is actually an endorsement for Biggs, saying that “a problem we heard immediately after @realDonaldTrump vocalized support towards @KTaylorRobson was that no one in the grassroots liked her… As our Chase the Vote Director at @TPAction_, this was a realization I had to face once Karrin announced she was running. I remember sharing with our team that it would be nearly impossible to hire thousands of ballot chasers to chase ballots for Karrin because no one was interested in doing the hard work to get her elected. She just isn’t the person for the job, and without chasing ballots in AZ with a full time army, it becomes very difficult for Republicans to win.

Political pundit Meghan McCain in KTAR: called Taylor Robson’s response to Trump’s dual endorsement “so debasing,” saying that “the tricky part is when you’re trying to placate all these people, and you’re trying to placate the McCain voters in Arizona, and the MAGA people, let me tell you, honey, it’s not going to work. You’ve got to pick a lane and you got to pick one.

Arizona Capitol Media journalist Howard Fischer: “@KTaylorRobson, who has campaigned on being the only Trump-endorsed candidate in gubernatorial race, gets a setback as the president decides that he likes @andybiggs4az as much and endorses him, too.”

Arizona Republic columnist Laurie Roberts: “Karrin Taylor Robson just lost her ace in the hole in next year’s race for governor. President Donald Trump, that would be … Her only real hope of getting through that GOP gauntlet was the Trump endorsement, which is why Trump is either mentioned or pictured at least 13 times in the 59-second video announcing her 2026 run for governor. But now she’s been forced to rip the golden ticket in half and share it with the Biggs, making it virtually … worthless. For her, at least.”

Conservative radio host Joe Huizenga: “I definitely think Taylor Robson was leaning into the Trump endorsement a little bit.

Conservative radio host Garret Lewis: said that “nobody cared” about Karrin’s initial endorsement from Trump because she fundraised for Chris Christie and said Trump’s a drag on the party. “If you’re a Karrin fan, you should encourage her to drop out … She has nothing. She’s not the Trump-endorsed candidate…She liked all the Never Trumpers. All the Trump haters. And she hates Trump.”

State Representative Rachel Keshel on her support for Biggs: “The people of AZ have and will continue to make our voices loud and clear regarding who we think is the ONE fantastic candidate running for governor in 2026 who has President Trump’s endorsement.”
