Indian Astrologist Joins National Analysts in Seeing Race Moving Towards Democrats

While Mercury is still in retrograde, Governor Bruce Rauner’s flailing reelection campaign just got another bad sign. With less than 100 days left, an Indian astrologer (courtesy of the India Times) studied the planets and predicted Democratic nominee J.B. Pritzker would prevail over Rauner in the fall. The astrologer found that Saturn’s position in the sky was a crucial factor.
Here on Earth, Rauner’s re-election chances have been grounded by a divided base and the entrance of Republican state Senator Sam McCann on the Conservative Party ticket, leading to two national election watchers to shift their race ratings towards Democrats. Rauner made matters worse last week when he ducked President Donald Trump’s first presidential visit to Illinois, then ran away from reporters when they asked him why.
“Talk about a failure to relaunch – Bruce Rauner’s re-election campaign never got off the ground,” said DGA Illinois Communications Director Sam Salustro. “It doesn’t take an astrologer to know that Illinois is doing worse under Bruce Rauner’s failed leadership and that voters are already looking for a new sign this November.”
