DGA Chair Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on the inauguration of Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger:

“Congratulations to Governor Abigail Spanberger on her historic inauguration today. By bringing people together and focusing on her plans to make Virginia more affordable, strengthen public schools, and grow the economy, Governor Spanberger flipped Virginia blue and won her race by the largest Democratic margin in more than 60 years. Now, she’s ready to work with both parties to lower costs and make life better for working families as the first woman ever elected governor in Virginia.

“I look forward to working alongside Governor Spanberger as she continues to put Virginia first.”
