Today, DGA Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson issued the following statement on Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards’ inauguration:
“Congratulations to John Bel Edwards for being sworn in as the next governor of Louisiana,” Pearson said. “Governor Edwards brings a lifelong record of leadership and service to this new role, as he tackles the tough task in front of him. John Bel Edwards proudly served our nation as an Army Ranger, and I know he’ll continue to lead as he serves the people of Louisiana. We are proud to welcome him to the ranks of America’s Democratic governors.”
