Noam Lee to Lead Committee for Upcoming Cycle

Today, Democratic Governors Association Chair Governor Gina Raimondo announced that Noam Lee has been promoted to serve as the DGA’s Executive Director for the upcoming cycle.
Lee has been a Democratic organizer and fundraiser for a decade. He has been with the DGA since 2013, having served as the committee’s National Finance Director for four years, after two years as its Major Gifts Director. Under his leadership as Finance Director, the DGA shattered previous fundraising records, bringing in more than $200 million during his tenure. Lee previously served in fundraising roles for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and several Democratic campaigns across the country including that of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. A Tempe, Arizona native and graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Lee got his start in politics in field organizing, working on campaigns in Missouri, New Hampshire and Virginia.
Lee takes over from Elisabeth Pearson who has served as the DGA’s Executive Director since 2013 and was previously the committee’s Political Director and Campaign Director.
“I’m proud to announce that Noam Lee will be leading DGA as our Executive Director for this coming cycle,” said DGA Chair Governor Gina Raimondo. “With more than half of the United States now represented by a Democratic governor, we are at an exciting moment for our party and committee. Noam is the right person to lead our organization into the future. I also join my fellow governors in thanking outgoing Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson for her exceptional leadership and service to the organization. Elisabeth has helped us to build up a strong committee dedicated to amplifying the voices and supporting the campaigns of Democratic governors, and I know Noam will do great things to build upon those successes.”
“I thank Governor Raimondo and the other Democratic governors for the honor of leading the DGA this coming cycle,” said DGA Executive Director Noam Lee. “In my six years at the DGA, I’ve seen the importance and efficacy of the committee’s work supporting and working to elect more Democratic governors across the country. Elisabeth Pearson has truly taken the DGA to new heights, helping to pick up 8 governorships over the past 2 years, and protecting every single Democratic incumbent over the past 4 years. I am truly taking the reins from one of the best, and I look forward to diving in and building off of her successes.”
