GOP Govs Planning to Attend QPAC Pal Around with Conspiracy Theorists for Political Gain

Latest News

Today is day one of QPAC, and the Republican governors who plan to attend are wasting no time – already cozying up to people who pushed the dangerous “big lie” that led to the January 6th insurrection.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is set to hold a fundraiser in Florida with Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle – both of whom have blatantly spread lies about the 2020 election. As Republicans battle it out over the direction of their party, it’s clear Noem “has already picked a side.”

In addition to Noem, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will be speaking at the conspiracy theory-themed event, as well as gubernatorial candidate Sarah Huckabee Sanders and potential candidate Adam Laxalt.

The QPAC conference is set to promote the lies started by Donald Trump about our elections through panels titled “protecting elections,” but are really a pretext to push the “big lie” and promote proposals to strip voters of their rights at the state level. Among the panels: “The Left Pulled the Strings, Covered It Up, and Even Admits It”; “Failed States (PA, GA, NV, oh my!)”; and “Other Culprits: Why Judges & Media Refused to Look at the Evidence.”

“By embracing QPAC, Republican governors have chosen to side with extremists over the health of our democracy,” said DGA Communications Director David Turner. “It’s clear Trump and his allies still rule over the Republican Party, and will continue to do so until Republicans decide to take a stand against their dangerous lies.”
