Double Trouble: Gov. Sununu Receives His Highest Disapproval Rating Ever and Democrats Outnumber Republicans in New Hampshire

Latest News

Gov. Chris Sununu is having a no-good, horrible, very bad day. For the first time since 2010, more Democrats than Republicans are registered to vote in New Hampshire and Sununu’s disapproval rating is at an all-time high. Democratic voters in New Hampshire are fired up about voting Republicans out of office: the week of the presidential primary, Democratic party registration rose from 276,385 to 324,593, a record-breaking 18 percent increase.
The last time Democrats outnumbered Republicans in the state was from 2008-2010, and Democratic Gov. John Lynch defeated Republican challengers by a landslide during both elections.
Here are a few things that will continue to turn voters against Sununu in the coming year:

“Chris Sununu’s record of putting special interests ahead of Granite Staters is on track to cost him the election,” said DGA National Press Secretary Jerusalem Demsas. “Chris Sununu loves to say no to bipartisan proposals and yes to enriching himself and his family businesses. Granite Staters have lost out on jobs, pay increases, and paid family leave as Sununu’s family and donors enrich themselves. As Granite Staters tune into the governor’s race, they are tuning out Chris Sununu’s demands for a third term.”
