DGA Statement on the Supreme Court’s Decision Upholding DACA Program

DGA Chair New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling that blocked the Trump administration from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
“Today’s Supreme Court decision isn’t just a win for Dreamers – it’s a win for all Americans. Dreamers grew up here, went to school here, and work in vital industries. They are our friends and neighbors. They are essential to their communities and the economic success of our nation. Republican attempts to end the DACA program were wrong, and would have taken Dreamers away from their families and the only home they’ve ever known. Democratic governors across the country have advocated for expanded rights to DACA recipients, and we will continue fighting for their right to live and thrive here as Americans.”
