DGA Statement on Governor-Elect Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Victory in New Mexico

DGA Chair Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) issued the following statement on Governor-Elect Michelle Lujan Grisham’s historic victory in New Mexico’s gubernatorial race:

“Congratulations to Governor-Elect Michelle Lujan Grisham on her historic victory in New Mexico. Governor-Elect Grisham will bring much-needed change to New Mexico, expanding access to quality education for every New Mexico child and help bring the state’s economy into the 21st Century with growing incomes and new jobs in the clean energy economy. She has always fought for New Mexico families and seniors, and I know she will continue to do so.

“Today, Michelle Lujan Grisham made history as the first Democratic Hispanic woman to be elected governor in the United States. I know she’ll continue to make New Mexicans proud and work to strengthen New Mexico for the next generation.”

The DGA and its allies were proud to invest $1.1 million in New Mexico.
