Dem Govs Get It Done: Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly Opens Vaccines to All Adults Over a Month Ahead of Schedule

Latest News

More than a month ahead of schedule, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly opened up vaccine eligibility to all adults over the age of 16. Gov. Kelly decided to open appointments up to everyone to ensure no vaccine is wasted.

As of today, 35.1% of the adult population in Kansas have received at least one dose of the vaccine – ahead of the national average. Last week, more than one million doses were administered in Kansas.

Gov. Kelly encouraged all Kansans to get vaccinated so kids can get back to school and small businesses can reopen: “With the anticipated increase in supply from the federal government, we must get every dose of vaccine into arms quickly. I strongly encourage every Kansan to get the COVID-19 vaccine so we can get back to school, back to work, and back to normal.”
